This is James, born October 1, 2009. He lives in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada with his big brother Jack and his parents, Brad and Tanja.

James was diagnosed with WS only a few weeks after his birth. He had stopped growing in utero (necessitating an early C-section) and was only 4.5lbs at birth, so the doctors were looking for explanations - and they found it with the diagnosis.

As of this posting, James is doing reasonably well. Although he is small in height, he makes up for it in weight and girth. At 14 months old, he is 23lbs. He still only eats purreed foods and milk, but he is always happy to eat. In fact, he is (almost) always happy doing anything. He is constantly smiling and apparently the easiest going baby around. He loves everyone and everyone loves him.

We'd love to hear from other parents - especially local parents (Ontario) - about their experiences with their own children. And we'd especially like to connect with any other WS kids in the local area, as we keep hearing that these kids usually have a special connection with each other.
