Christina Sattler is a 26-year-old WS adult. christina.jpg (26706 bytes) She was diagnosed at 3 years of age by Dr. Smith in Oregon after our pediatrician read his "definitive" article. Christina is a very special young lady who encourages and inspires just about everyone she meets. She attended the Boston WS convention when she was 16; there she met other WS folks for the first time. She was really happy to meet other people like herself! She has also attended a seminar for adults in Michigan, and she made friends there, too. She particularly enjoyed participating in UCONN's first "Music and Minds" program three years ago, and would like to do a repeat in the future.

Christina is a volunteer teacher's aid in a first grade class; she loves "her" children, and they love her! She can hardly wait until school starts again. She also takes horseback riding lessons, and she is starting to trot her horse without any help from other people. We are really proud of her!

I think Christina gets the most pleasure from talking with friends on the internet. She taught herself to type so she could communicate with people all over the world (which she does...you should see her Buddy List!). Her passions are her relationship to God, her love for music (she is a dedicated CCM fan--she especially likes the band, Stryper), and her love for cats--the animals, as well as the musical. For Tina's birthday this year, we took her to Broadway to see Cats. She saw it three times in three days!! She corresponds with three of the cast members, so they gave her a personal tour backstage, and she even got to put on Grizabella makeup (Grizabella is her favorite character, because Grizabella understands how it feels when people make fun of other people).

If any other WS folks would like to exchange email with Tina, her address is littlgriz@aol.com. I know she would love to e-talk!
