GONZALO MOURE
' THE MOZART' SYNDROME SOMETHING MORE THAN A NOVEL

  MARIA FERNANDEZ LARRINAGA

With the ' Syndrome of Mozart', Gonzalo Moure has not only been able to take control of the Prize of Angular Great Youthful Literature, but that has been entered in a world that stops many completely is not known: the one of the children with syndrome of Williams.

One is a very special pathology in that the affected ones have a low intellectual coefficient, but at the same time are able to develop extraordinary an auditory sensitivity, getting to reach the absolute ear, which is translated in a musical ability outside the common thing.

Its first contact with the syndrome was fortuitous. "a novel was writing and in her it described to a gentleman with face of gnomo. Shortly after, I received a letter of a doctor in whom she said to me that if that that had written was real that person suffered the syndrome of Williams ". What the writer did not know, then, is that one of the characteristics characteristic of the children who suffer this disease it is the face of ' duendecilló.

From that moment, it did not stop to investigate a syndrome that, according to it affirms, also it could suffer Mozart. The novel has not been more than first of the fruits of an investigation that has not done more than to begin. "My intention is to unify everything in a test with interviews to scientists, with opinions....un divulging book".

After to have been ' atrapadó by the wonderful contradictions of the children with syndrome of Williams, able by a side to listen to the fall of two currencies and to know which of them has sounded in do and as in fa, but by the other, incapable to make a daily task as it can be to tie the shoes, tries to create a center for these boys, whom the name of ' Mozart' will take.

It will be a place in that they will be able to be dedicated to which they like more, music. "My dream is that this center becomes a point of contact in which these children can interchange points of view on music, so that they can get to us to explain what is for them music".

The Mozart center, to which Moure will dedicate part of the prize, will serve to operate its capacities. "I believe that it is not necessary to isolate these children. We must consider this syndrome like something less negative and to try to harness the positive aspects ".
