WSF Immediate Plans
Back Up Next

To start immediately to develop pilot regional programs offering WS individuals of all ages training in music, acting, story-telling, and other areas of the fine arts. The first program of this category is the Williams Syndrome Music and Arts Camp held for the past three years at Belvoir Terrace in Lenox, MA, next to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

To fund seed moneys for projects investigating the unique musical abilities of Williams people.

To develop a plan for generating national publicity to bring attention to the uniqueness and needs of WS individuals, and funding to support the many worthwhile projects that the WSF and WSA wish to promote.

To develop ways to encourage public and private agencies to fund medical, basic, and educational research dealing with Williams syndrome.

To establish long-term residences for Williams people.

To further broaden our Board of Trustees to include such individuals as prominent researchers, music educators, and business leaders.
